The Venue
The European Naginata Championship 2025 will be held at USIF Arena, Uppsala’s premier indoor sports facility. Located just a short walk from the city center and central station, the arena offers world-class training and competition spaces, comfortable amenities, and excellent accessibility. With its modern architecture and versatile layout, USIF Arena provides the perfect setting for both high-level competition and international gathering.

Uppsala
Located just 30 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Uppsala is one of Sweden’s oldest and most vibrant cities. With its towering cathedral, historic castle, and lively student atmosphere, Uppsala offers the perfect blend of heritage and hospitality.
We’re sure you’ve all heard of Swedish fika! There are a lot of cafés in Uppsala, some with an old-timey vibe, and some with a more modern setting. As fika is tasty, why not try both? An Uppsala classic is Café Carl von Linné, named after scientist Carl von Linné, who was Uppsala-based. YOCHA Studio is a Japanese-style café that also sells cute trinkets, notebooks, and teacups.
Apart from fika, there are a lot to see and do here. If you enjoy museums there is a Viking museum, easily reached by bus nr 2. In the city centre we have the great Cathedral and Gustavianum, which are definitely worth a visit!
There is a karaoke-bar with private rooms if you like singing but are shy.
After a long day of sightseeing, you might feel a bit peckish. Lucky for you there are restaurants in abundance. Negai serves a variety of Asian food. Texas Longhorn serves grilled meat and burgers. Do you want to try Swedish meatballs? (You’re in Sweden, of course you do😉) IKEA sells them, and you can get there by bus 10.
Stockholm is just a train ride away if you would like to visit the capital of Sweden. It is a lovely city, so if you have the time, we’d definitely recommend it!
